I've Been Adopted

Look what (who) adopted me over the weekend. She showed up on Saturday morning as I was getting setup for a garage sale with my friend Angela and she did not want to leave my side. The man across the street said he had been feeding her for a couple of days.

I took her to the vet on Monday to scan her for a chip and she had one and she did so I contacted the owner. She lives down the street from me. She came to pick up this puppy and in the course of our conversation she gave her to me.

I named the puppy Sheena. She is a smooth collie and may have some shepherd in her. She sure acts like a herding dog. Sadly she isn't house broken even though she is 5 months old. *sigh* But we are making some progress. She is a very sweet dog. Tobi doesn't much think so but she hasn't even tried to eat her yet and that's a very good sign. LOL.

This is just one of the many reasons I'm not around much these days. I miss you all!

What a sweetheart! Interesting story she carries, now. Tobi will come around eventually. Looking forward to seeing the pictures of the 2 of them curled up together.

You are a very giving and loving person! Have fun with your pups....

I didn't realize you could adopt quite so easily. LOL! She looks like she'll be a good owner. HA!
I like the name you picked out. It suits her.
Have a fabulous day my friend.

She's precious! Dog's are more work than children - but the love they give is worth all the effort!

How are you my friend? How's the job going? I'm always praying for you!

Blessings, Stephanie

She is beautiful! Makes me want a puppy, but I am not home enough to train one.

I haven't been on here much either, my home pc is not working. Borrowing hubby's laptop whenever I can. Miss it and you. Hope you are doing well.

I love Sheena! We are a 2 dog family, and they play together wonderfully, but they are both young dogs.

I hope you & Sheena & Toby have a smooth transition together.

I have been thinking about you. I have been away from my blog as well. Sometimes it is just not what we are supposed to be doing. I pray for this season in your life. I can tell your puppy has found a home. How sweet. b

Hi my friend,

I think we talk more via Email then on our blogs (SMILE). I already know about this cutie from you via Email but I love seeing her face!

I hope Tobi is more accepting of her now (smile).

Hugs and love dear friend!

Hi Edie,
Wow, what a beautiful dog! I hope the housebreaking process improves for you. Pray!

And I totally understand the busy factor and not being around the blog world. I only post once a week--sometimes it slides to once every two weeks--family life has to take priority.

Enjoy that dog, girl. :)
