What's On Your "To Do" List?

Life gets busy sometimes doesn't it? As a matter of fact, at times I think it just keeps accelerating with no end in sight. Many of you have noticed that I seem to have disappeared from the face of the blogosphere. Thank you for noticing and caring. :) No, I'm still clinging to an edge and working my way off this "To Do" list.

Yes, I'm one of those. I'm motivated by progress so crossing things off of my list gives me a visual point to measure my progress. That motivates me to keep going so that I get it all done. Well, that's the way it used to work. These days my "To Do" list has turned into a never ending list that always has something undone on it. (sigh) Actually, I have also learned that I enjoy being busy. I just need to keep it balanced. I like activity not chaos.

So today I thought I would share my list with you, in no specific order. This is not meant to be completed in a single day, but wouldn't that be great if I did! I didn't list the daily stuff of taking care of the girls. (TGIF) Feel free to pick up a task or two. :)

Wake up (This starts the day on a positive note and I get to cross something off my list right away.)
Spend Time with God (Do this all day too. And never cross it off the list.)
Mop Floors
Laundry
Change Sheets
Vacume
Dust
Clean Glass Tops
Clean Windows
Clean Bathrooms
Wash Truck
Groceries (Make list)
Clean Carpets
Repair Patio
Make Blog Designs
Hedge Shrubs - Front yard
Hedge Shrubs - Back yard
Mow
Edge
Spray Weed Killer (Yes I do. If you want to pull my weeds I'll stop. I don't do this often.)
Spray Insect Killer (Yes this too. My grandaughters are covered in bug bites. I don't do this often either.)
Sewing (Fix-its)
Go to Home Depot (Take list)
Schedule Meeting Room
Get DBA
Go to Bank Do it again
Setup Google Docs
Find Press Release Template
Design T-shirts
Print and Cut Flyers

So what's on your list?

Edie

I'm glad to hear you're OK, but just busy with your to-do list. Yes, I have mine too. However, today I took a much needed break and it was so good for me. I even watched a movie called Marley and me. I'd recommend it.

I definitely have a mighty bunch of stuff, but I end up keeping a shorter to-do list. That is a problem, eventually, because the non-pressing items (make curtain for hall window; sew new pants) don't find their way on there, and thus, never get done.

But, I'm trying to keep up with friends and family, remembering birthdays, trying to send out appropriate notes for the time. School is winding down, so there are fewer commitments and appointments and deadlines, which is all excellent. And then, it will just be kids on the to-do for the summer--LOL!!

I'm so glad you blogged in today; it was good to hear from you!

P.S. I'm starting a daily blog this summer....a Bible Study blog on the book of Proverbs. All are welcome. Starts June 1.

Edie,

It's so good to see you back today. I just can't muster up enough courage to make a To-Do list. I look around and see what needs to be done and can't deal with it all so...some gets done, some doesn't. I used to be very organized like you, but when the operations started several years ago and the continued physical things going on with myself and my husband, I couldn't be that organized and had to let some things go. I admire you in doing so. My sister is the same way. Always on the go and much gets accomplished.

Love you dear friend,
Alleluiabelle

Edie,

Today...we washed windows at our cabin. Did some laundry. Went for an awesome scenic mountain drive. Praying about helping with VBS as well as our new ladies community study that I'll be co-leading in two weeks, BELIEVING GOD by Beth Moore.

Love ya!

Hi Edie- I think lists are a gift from God! At least he designed me to think that way! I absolutely ADORE putting that line through something and feeling "Ahhhh! I did it!"

Love, Debra

Whew! Me too! My list is always a mile long, and I have it in several different places...(not good) I often only get two or three things done (without adding "wake up" lol!) and have alot of phone calls and internet time (just doing my banking and bill paying, product ordering, shopping, blogging, facebook(okay, that isn't on my to do list! Ha ha!) People in my life are taking much time right now, which I love, but my bloggy time has been quiet too.

As long as we just keep walking by faith, we are doing fine!
Blessings!
Kathy

Oh girl!
I tell ya one thing....your list sure just made me feel A LOT better about mine. I thought that my To Do List was long! My hubby thinks I purposely like to make my list as long as I possibly can. Whatever, huh? Anyhow, I hope that you've accomplished a lot today on your list. Thanks for sharing it.

Have a great weekend precious friend!

Today was a day to spend with a friend [a pastor's wife].

Yesterday was the 'to do list' of:

Pray
Spend time in God's Word
write blog post
mow the grass
weedwack the edges
plant flowers
clean the dogs ears [yuck]
laundry
go to produce market

BUT REALLY the only "to do list" worth keeping is to:
Spend MORE time in PRAYER !

Choosing JOY,

Hi Sis!!!
I am also going through a do to list. I took a lil time away to clean and simpify my home. I don't know if it is my age or hormones, but I cannot stand the clutter any more.. LOL I have learned to let go of things, adios, bye-bye, austa lavista..is that how you spell it hee hee. It's good to see your posting. I have a tea to do Saturday for a rehab full of women who are starting a positive change in their lives and in the lives of their children. So our women's ministry team thought we would do a friendship tea to encourage them. I pray all is well with you and I'll be back!!!

Well, what a huge list you have. I used to just keep the list in my head...but as I get older I forget stuff. ugh. I'm busy with lots of end of the yr stuff at school with my kids, have loads of laundry and housework to do...write a book proposal would be a good idea. Blog some.

Yup - busy.

Glad you checked in. :-)

Precious I understand and relate.

I'm needing to make some changes to free of time to do all of what God has purposed from family things to ministry and the care of others and myself.

I'm a big list maker the problem is I now have a list for my list (sigh). Time to make some changes.

Love you Sweetie.

Good to hear from you through posting. Not that I haven't heard from you lately and vice versa (lol). Lists? The only list I make is a grocery list for my husband. With all my health issues there's not a lot I can do anymore.

I've noticed the "friendconnet" web address has been in several sites that I have visited today, even yours.
I noticed it when the blogs are loading.
Sorry, didn't mean to get into that again.
Luv u,
AliceE.

I love tadoo lists also but then I forget where I put mine and have to make out another one n so on.
Today, my tadoo is light; coz it's sunday. We've had so much rain and it's supposed to be warm n dry this whole next week. So, the top of my priorities is weeding and weedeating and mowing up a storm.
HEY; can I borrow your weed killer?
lol I'm doing this all wrong*!!!!
Have a wonderful week Edie!!!!!

Hi Friend! You know this is a no-guilt blogosphere! Every friend is a gift and every moment we get to share is the same. I have quite a list too. Since I've been in the "waiting room" for quite some time, I'm so happy to be out of my seat that it's not stressful. Hugs

Now How in the world did I miss your post!?!

I was just finishing up and getting ready to go to bed. Thought I'd pop in and say hi on your most recent post...and it's one I haven't even read!!!

Now that I've read it, I have so much to say, but to be honest with you (and you know I can't lie anymore) i am too pooped to respond. i have typed and retyped this comment over and over because I keep making such bad typos that you wouldn't even be able to tell what I'm trying to say.

SO, I'll comment tomorrow.

I'm the only person I can think of, whose comment that says they can't comment, is longer than anyone else's comment when they do!

That does make sense, doesn't it?
