When Friends Attack

Psalm 91

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High

will rest in the shadow of Shaddai (the Almighty).

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,

my God, in whom I trust.”

Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare

and from the deadly pestilence.

He will cover you with his feathers,

and under his wings you will find refuge;

his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

You will not fear the terror of night,

nor the arrow that flies by day,

nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,

nor the plague that destroys at midday.

A thousand may fall at your side,

ten thousand at your right hand,

but it will not come near you.

You will only observe with your eyes

and see the punishment of the wicked.

If you make the Most High your dwelling—

even the Lord, who is my refuge—

then no harm will befall you,

no disaster will come near your tent.

For he will command his angels concerning you

to guard you in all your ways;

they will lift you up in their hands,

so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;

you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;

I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

He will call upon me, and I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble,

I will deliver him and honor him.

With long life will I satisfy him

and show him my salvation.”

Oh, Edie, that is just beautiful. God is our shelter and will always take care of us no matter what happens in our lives.

It's good to see you posting again with such strength from God Almighty. I can hear it in your words. May God be with you always is my prayer.
Love you, friend,

With all the evilness that seems to prosper, it's so easy to be discouraged at times. But how can we not remain trusting when He has been faithful with His promises from yesterday, today and forever?

I love this Psalm and I'm so happy to hear from you. Praying for your protection and for the Lord to guide you and give you discernment. Even sadder when we are being persecuted from what's supposed to be our own family in His Name. (But John reminded us, if we are of God's, we must know how to love...)...And that is His commandment.

My trial is truly a long process. But never for a moment I doubted that He is there going through this evil plan at work. I am requesting for you to remain praying for me sister (as I do for you). I refuse to be downcast and I choose to remain joyful in the Lord.

God bless you sister and sending you hugs.

Praying for you friend. Attacks hurt more when they come from the Body of Christ. I pray for healing and unity. We've all been through this...I feel your pain. When this happens, I just get on my knees before our Holy God and ask Him to show me/how if I am not loving/attacking someone.

Psalm 89:14 - Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you.
