I did learn that I was somewhat addicted to blogging. It's good to discover that there's life outside of the blogosphere even though I miss my friends in here. Bet you didn't know that you live inside this little box that sits on my desk, did ya?
I hope everyone had a wonderful celebration of the Resurrection. I made the girls some crosses to hang in their bedrooms and some chocolate cross lollipops. They acted out the Easter story with an old (somewhat cheesy) puppet show I made years ago. They had a good time and learned why we celebrate Easter. No bunnies at this house.
My sweet friend Lea at the Shabby Olde Potting Shed made me this wonderful

Did any of you participate in a TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party in your area? The Arlington TEA Party turned out to be a huge success. Way beyond anything I imagined. God orchestrated all of the details and we ended up with about 2000 - 2500 people. It was so thrilling to see people come out and speak out and stand up for our Nation.
I can't tell you what it was like to watch the people as they were given a platform to express themselves and feel like they can have a voice after all. It was like watching them find freedom that had been taken away. It was like that for me too. And I found that it isn't ending with that one, but we are continuing in our efforts. It looks like God has a few plans for me in this. I really have a heart to see God's people start really speaking out and taking back this Nation for Christ. We have been complacent for too long.
Here are a few pictures of our TEA Party and the designs I made for shirts and buttons. It was really fun to watch people get excited over these.

Hi Edie!
Nice to hear a little about what's been going on in your life lately. Love your crosses...they're beautiful! That crown from Lea is amazing.
I haven't attended any of the tea parties as of yet, but I know the movement is definitely growing. That's an outstanding showing in your area! How awesome that you were able to create those designs!
Love & blessings,
Tracy
Life does happen the good, bad, and ugly but with Jesus it becomes all good.
You are so crafty! The crosses are beautiful and the candy looks delicious.
I've been thinking about you and have missed you.
Never had bunnies in this house, either or Santa and the tooth fairy.
love and hugs~Tammy
So glad to see you back in bloggy world. You were missed. I love the crosses and the crown of thorns. I love celebrating Resurrection Day.
I haven't participated in TEA Party events but it's encouraging to me to see the video and pictures.
Edie,
I must tell you that my heart leapt at the "no bunnies here" and the lovely chocolate cross'. I can't imagine how delighted your girls were to receive them and the memories they made acting out the Easter Story.
Love,
Yolanda
Hi Edie,
It's true; if we don't stand for something, we'll fall for anything!
Sitka and I are so glad you are back. GOD bless you....andrea
Glad to have you back. You were greatly missed.
Your crosses and the crown of thorns are beautiful.
I haven't attended one of the Tea Parties, but I understand there was one planned in a town not far from us. God bless you for what you are doing. I like Lea's statement, "If we don't stand for something, we'll fall for anything."
My prayers were with you and I'm so glad it was a success. I know you put a lot of hard work into it.
You will be blessed.
Luv u,
AliceE. :)
PS Loved the new blog you made. I've been trying to send someone to you for a make over. I told her you were the best.
Looks like the TEA party was quite the event!
Love those crosses. How special for the girls.
I'm glad to see you back. I try to discipline myself to not spend too much time on the computer. I began my blog to communicate and minister to the women of my church,I'm a pastor's wife and I love our women. So I try to post at least 5 days but not stay on the computer!! Thanks for the post.
Glad to see you are back:)
Hi Edie,
Life is meant to b lived out of the box but thanks for sticking your head in to say hello. Many blessing to you as you go. B
I can so understand.
Live life dear sister and live it outside of our computer screen indeed although there are many blessings both inside and out but balance is a good thing.
Love the photos you posted of the crafts and the tea party. Lea is indeed a GIVER and so are you!
I pray God would expand the tea party into a HUGE VOICE FOR HIS GLORY that rocks the White House.
Love you.
Did I say rocks? :) Had a blast to my younger days.
Missed you!
<3
It's so nice to have you back. You are so talented. I absolutely loved those chocolate crosses you made and the others as well. Beautiful! It looks like a great turn out for the TEA party. That in itself is wonderful to see.
Again, it is great to have you back with us.
Hugs,
Alleluiabelle
2500 people!? That's awesome. Love your photos. Delighted to hear all is well with you.
Now we just need to keep this momentum going all the way to the White House. All is well here too but these last few weeks have been hectic ones.
When God puts out the call, and you hear it!!, you need to respond to it! What a blessing to have heard His voice, as you have, and to step out somewhere new, and somewhere where the road continues to go forward.....
We know you are still here. But you go, girl....where He leads!
Hi Edie!

The crown...so amazing.
Good to hear from you again!
I didn't get in on the tea party, though my heart is there. Intresting that I heard no news about it...Only articles on News With Views asking, "now what?"...
Keeping up the prayer!
Edie,
I missed you but glad to see you were out at a TEA party!
Love ya!
Hi, Edie! I dropped in for a few moments, and I have enjoyed my visit.
We were on the road the day of the tea parties, but were privileged to see a few along the way. Awesome!
Many blessing to you in Christ Jesus our Lord! His mercy and love are everlasting!
Andrea
I enjoyed reading your blog today ....
I am making so many new friends in the blog world.
Hope you will stop by and sign up for my give away on Thurs
Glad you're back! And I am so there with you. Love my blogging, but we really need to be carefull of letting it over take us and ALL of our extra time. I've totally had to step back since the beginning of the year. It's been rewarding to find balance again.
The crosses you made are just beautiful! Love them!
those crosses are absolutely beautiful!!
I have not found a TEA party near us. I love the shirt and button you designed!!
Wow, Edie, it's so good to have you back in blog land! Although, I've been away almost as long as you! And, I just wrote about my absence, too.
Thanks for sharing pictures from your Tea Party. I LOVE your designs!
I know you've had a lot going on IRL. (Shanda, one of my friends and blogger at "A Teachable Heart" just wrote about that acronym. In case you don't know--I didn't!--it means, "in real life".) :-) Anyway, I know you've had a lot going on IRL, and you've remained in my thoughts, in my prayers, and in my heart.
Love you, girl! :-D
those are beautiful cross crafts!
We don't do bunnies either. Thankfully we now live in a country where the Easter bunny is not a part of the celebration. Surprise, of surprise: Easter is about Jesus!!
Glad you're out of hiding!
There is life outside the blogosphere? No! Surely not!
Welcome back! Loved those lolly pops, might steal that idea next year!
Hi Edie-
Just want you to know-I love you-you are in my thoughts and at His throne in my prayers! (and in His thoughts, too!)
Love that crown....I agree with you about Lea...
Love, Debra
I've not been online much lately. Popped in to say I love you.
Nice Post
Ha ha. Kidding. Even thought it WAS a great post!
You are so sweet!
Speaking of sweet...those chocolate crosses looked terrific! And I loved the "thorn of crowns". Lea is so talented!
Opps, someone is at the door be right back!
OK, Where was I?
Oh yeah, Glad you had a great Easter. As for the puppets....sometimes the traditions we hold dear (even the cheesy ones) are the best!
I know what you mean that this blogging can become addictive. So True! I've started keeping a timer at the computer. When it goes off, I have to stop. Of course I can come back :-)
Looks like the tea party was a success. Actually, from the news, it looks like they were successful across America. I LOVE when people prove that it IS possible to have a large group of people together to voice their needs and opinions and that there doesn't have to be name calling, fights, etc. The tea party here was also successful. I couldn't go, (Alberquando's birthday) but some of my friends and neighbors did and were encouraged by it.
The tea party was probably just what you needed. In addition to the obvious reason (tea party itself), it gave you a much needed break from the blog world. Glad to see you're back though.
Opps, there goes my timer...I'm not finished yet....I think I'll reset it...just this once :)
I didn't get to go to a TEA party, but I support the whole movement. Thanks for your coverage of the event. I linked here from Lari's site. Didn't get to look much but you have some very good material here. WB
Hey girl. Great reminder that life happens outside our box on our desk. haha I LOVE the crosses you made at Easter. You are SO talented. Hopefully, I'll be a bit better about blogging. I've had a K.razy first half of the year. All good just wild. Much love, alene
