This is a Prayer Warrior. Several years ago when I was teaching a children's Sunday School class I would prepare a craft project for the class and try it out on Olivia. She loved making all kinds of crafts and I loved that she was learning something about God. One week I planned Prayer Warrior Magnets as the craft. This is Olivia's. It has been hanging on my refrigerator ever since.
Emily and Ashleigh love to play with the magnets on the fridge (what child doesn't) and recently I have found them with this one mixed into their play magnets. Generally I put the magnets they can play with on the bottom door of the fridge, and the "special - don't touch" magnets on the top door. They are now able to reach the top door. I will have to move the magnets closer to the top or come up with a new strategy.
Anyway, since they seemed to have a fondness for this magnet and they Always want to do a project, I let them make their own Prayer Warriors. They really enjoyed it.

What a wonderful teaching craft! and a pretty reminder for us all to pray! I would love to use it with the preschoolers at our church. Can I use your idea?

How cute is that!!! Your grandaughters are beautiful just like their Grandma *smile*. That is a cute project I'll probably try that in our youth program after the holidays.

I do believe I could even make these - and in so doing would exhaust all of my crafting ability. Thank the Lord for YOU- the one who can come in and do the craft lesson. : )
Edie, LOVE IT!! This is a great teaching tool, and what great smiles they have because they enjoyed doing this. I am sure we all will use this for a church project. Amen!

Everything is relative. I thought that was the HUGEST magnet ever in the first picture, then when I saw it relative to the kids....LOL!!
What a cute project - and most importantly what a wonderful influence you are on your grand-daugthers lives! They are such cuties.
I like this, too! And, if the Lord has it in His will for me to work with the kids again in the spring, I would like to bring this to one of our meetings.
I have an idea to add to these warriors, if I might. Since you use pipe cleaners, which are so great, being so flexible, we could add one more around "arms" position with "hands" pointing up to hold a small piece of paper with a prayer concern on it (so we don't forget!). Or, I suppose you could hole-punch multiple requests to hang on the "hands."
And now I may have to make one for me! You've started something great here, Edie.

these are so cute...a few years ago while preparing a project for pioneers (I think I was attempting to make lambs(don't remember) anyway they looked like pigs...the leader of our womens bible study would often refer to herself as a prayer hog...well put the two of them together and we had another project for our kids...prayer hog magnets for the pioneers...

Too Cute! I used to have a little stop sign in my kitchen window to remind me to do the same. I wish I didn't need a reminder, but I do.
