Dear Edie,
I came out to Las Vegas Wednesday to visit my girlfriend, T. Yesterday I got a call from my sister in Ohio informing me that my nephew B (her 18 yr old son), has died suddenly from complications from the surgery he had last month. I am overwhelmed with grief....and am flying to Ohio tomorrow morning to be with my family...Please pray that I would be the light of Christ in this dark time. None of my family knows the Lord Jesus. I am scared. I will keep you posted as things unfold.

Edie, Your friend, her family (and you!) are in my thoughts and prayers. I do pray that the Lord will give K. courage.

It's hard to understand why these things happen sometimes...
Lord, I pray that K can be a shining light for you in this difficult time. I pray that you will place on her heart the words that need to be said and that she is able to be strong and a comfort for her family. In your precious name. Amen.
I somehow forgot how to read and thought it was you who lost your nephew. Sorry! I will pray for K!

I will be praying as well for K and her family. I know God will use her in a special way and that his light of Love, and peace will be with her as she goes to be with her family.
