Beloved Blogging Buddies

Thank you blogging buddies

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who have expressed concern for my safety today. You are good Bloggy Friends and I so appreciate you checking in on me like you have.

Just to let you know, I am safe and well. Ike passed just a little east of me so we got some heavy wind and rain but no threat of damage. My heart and my prayers go out to those in Galveston, Houston, and others in Ike's direct path. The damage is quite severe and many have lost their homes, and some have lost their lives.

Father, you alone are God. You are Holy. You are worthy. You created all things
and without you nothing could exist. Please help those who have lost homes and
loved ones due to this hurricane. Wrap your arms around them and make them
very aware of your presence. Reveal yourself to those who don't know you and
draw those that do closer to you. Provide all that is needed in possessions
and finances to repair and rebuild where damage occurred. Thank
you that you always hear and that you love us. - In Jesus' Name

Hi Edie,
(((Big Hugz))) Thanks for your update, I'm soooo glad to hear you are okay and no damage, Praise the Lord!!! I know there are many who will come back to either damaged homes or no homes in Galveston and other places we need to hold them in prayer, as well as for those who lost loved ones. Good to hear from you my sistah!

Blessings Lorie

See? We ARE made from the same pile of dirt!! I didn't know you were from the Texas coast!! (or close to it)

So am I!

I live in North Georgia now, but my hometown is Corpus Christi!

I'm so glad you're safe (as well as my family down in Corpus) :-)
But I do pray for those in Galveston who have lost so much. The beaches look terrible!

But God is good, and I mostly pray that He will be glorified in the eyes of those affected.

I knew you weren't the type to let a little old hurricane blow you down.

Seriously, I am SO glad you are ok. The pictures and videos on television show the devistation and it is probably even worse than it appears on tv. Plus, when the storms are over, people every where else forget about it and then the people in the affected areas are faced with months and even years trying to rebuild their lives.

Again, I am so grateful you are safe. :)

Edie - you are awesome. I'm so thankful for the new friendship I have in you, and for your beautiful spirit. You visited on a Tuesday Tip - and we've been buddies ever since!

So glad you are okay.

Thanking God with you, Edie. But I just mistyped your name and called you "Edit." Anyway, I am glad to know you're safe. We got terrible winds up here in Indiana, the worst I've ever experienced. It made me appreciate what you all have been going through a little more. It was crazy here.

Hi Edie,
When I first realized Ike was going to be coming right up through Texas I panicked thinking of our sweet EDIE! I was going to see if you wanted to come to Arkansas for a quick get away, but then they said we were right in the path! ~ I was relieved to hear you were out of harms way and I said a prayer for the evacuees you helped at your church!
Much Love edie,
You are such a blessing to me

I, too, am glad you're safe. And thankful that God is bigger than the storm - whether the storm is a hurricane or a heart ache!
