Pray for the Persecuted

We do not experience persecution like the Christians in other countries do. It is so easy to forget. We all do this, not intentionally but because "Out of sight, out of mind." Today will you remember with me and lift them up in prayer. We forget, this could happen in our own nation as well. We are not exempt.

Thank you dear ones.

Powerful videos. It is easy to get caught up in our lives and forget how our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ in other countries are suffering. My across the street neighbor and her family went to India this summer on a mission trip. She says it is extremely stessful for the missionaries there. Thank you for opening our eyes so our hearts can be opened in prayer.

I second Mrs. P. We are so blessed in the US, it's easy to forget what other countries go through daily. Religion persecution, poverty, disease.

Thanks for the reminder to pray.

God is so good. We are so blessed to live in America. I will pray for the Christians around the world. There is a book called, Windows on the World by Daphne Spraggett and we read it with our kids. You look at the different people groups and their religion, population etc. then we pray for that people group and for the missionaries. It talks about the missionaries to that people, too. great resource if you hve kids. :)

I have always felt strongly about how lucky and blessed we are to live in America. Sometimes people forget that we have it better than so much of the rest of the world.
I am having audio problems....among other things....so I'll try to come back so I can hear the videos while I watch them.

Thank you for that sobering reminder, Edie. My family and I are hearty supporters of Gospel for Asia. It's easy for Americans to forget those around the world who are daily persecuted just because they are Christians.

Just last night, I was reading THE HEAVENLY MAN by Paul Hattaway and asking myself how strong would I really be in the face of physical torture. It's easy to write about my faith from the comfort of my home; I pray that I'm never faced with extreme persecution, but, if I ever am, I pray to continue standing for the Lord.

Hi Sistah!!
(((Hugz))) I love your new look, you are so creative, yet I am not surprised of the gift the Lord has given you in everything you put your hands to. What a great post and reminder to us all that these are real happenings that many do not see, or some choose not to see or just ignore. Praise God he sees all, and knows all. And that as children of a compassionate , caring, and loving Father we should continually stay in prayer over this situation.
I'm just now doing my bloggy visits, I did not realize how tired I was, don't have the energy like I used too lol.

Luv ya Lorie

Edie,
Watching these videos makes me so sad... yet I'm so glad I saw them. God forgive me for forgetting to pray for these people.
I get so caught up in worldiness.

We do have it so good, don't we? Christ just must shake His head when we complain of the meaningless stuff that is huge to us.

How are you? I met you on Renee Swope's blog. Are you working from home like your heart desired?
Swing by or email me an update...chealey5@windstream.net

I have your name on my desk so I think/pray of you often.
