Goulash Recipe

After showing a picutre of my grandma's goulash in my Project365 post on Sunday, some of you asked me to share the recipe. So here it is! This was one of my favorite meals growing up. I hope you enjoy it.

Ground Beef
Chopped Onion
Garlic Powder, Salt, Pepper to taste
2 Cans Tomato Sauce (plus 1 can water)
2 Cans Corn
2 Cans Sliced New Potatoes

Brown the ground beef with onion and seasonings. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes. Enjoy.

Yummy! Hearty & delish. I love soups & stews. Unfortunately I can't get the rest of the family on board. I usually make a pot of something and have it for lunch during the week.

Hugs!

I have the same issues as Kelly with some stews and soups with my family. My kids don't like seafood and it is all around me. It is my favorite. One day they will realize what they turned their nose up to is delicious. I need to see your pics. Missed that post. B

Sounds great. I like soups also. I'm having to stay away from fatty foods and eat foods with potassium. Sometimes you just can't please the doctors.

Thanks for your comment. I'm glad you liked my journey down memory lane.

Thanks for your prayers.
We are trying to do better me with foods and my husband is doing better also.
Luv u,
AliceE.

THANK YOU!
I had to make a post-it and stick it up on my monitor so as to not forget. I've really been trying lately to make delicious "budget" meals. I think this fits. :-)
btw -- the shaped pancakes are made with a set of mold I got from AVON.
Have a great day!

I need to get with Kelly and make a pot of this.
She wrote that she loves soups and stews but her family isn't too into them....it is the same way over here.
Maybe we'll make a pot and split it!

Just had to let you know-you were the talk of our kitchen table for this recipe! We all loved it. I added some of my homemade pesto to it, but it would have been excellent just as you wrote it (I'm always trying out something different!)
Anyway-this is very good-take it from 3 very full people!
Love ya!

Oh my goodness. I haven't thought of Goulash in a long time!

When I was in the fifth grade I was in a bicycle accident which involved skidding across the ground on my face and swallowing lots of blood and dirt in the process. I was at home afterwards, getting "sick" frequently.
On one of those occassions my friend came into my room to check on me, while everyone else was eating dinner, and he hollered down the stairs, "She's throwing up blood and dirt again!" Apparently everyone looked at their dinner then and stopped eating. Goulash was on the menu that night...Wonder why no one requested that dish again???
