Project 365 - December 27, 2009

This is our last Project 365 of the year. Thank you so much Sara for hosting this all year. I'm looking forward to doing this in 2010! If you didn't participate in this in 2009, you are invited to join us in 2010. This is such a fun and meaningful meme.

Sara decided to have a contest for to design a new Project 365 button and said to post it with today's Project 365 so I did. That's it above. I used photos from a few of the bloggers who participated this year, mostly from Sara's posts since she is our wonderful hostess. If you see one of your pictures in there and you want me to remove it please let me know.

Monday - Word Girl and I did a little baking/candy making. She is preparing the cups that will hold the Peanut Butter Fudge. This is a "fight over" kinda food in our house. :D

Tuesday - I found this after Word Girl went home today. It says ...
"Need Info Fast?! Check the Information Station Now!!!!!"
(picture of box of peanut butter fudge and a brochure)
"Get a free box of PB Fudge with every purchase!"
Hahaha! I can't wait til she grows up and goes into marketing. I need a good marketing manager!

Wednesday - Remember *The Pinkster* that I made for Angela's son? Well his little sister wanted one so meet Rosey.

Thursday - Snow!

Friday - Celebrating the Birth

Saturday - I got "The Nativity Story" for Christmas. This is the first time I have seen it and I loved it! It was put together so well, realistic, and very biblical. I was so humbled by the faith and courage that Mary and Joseph had to have had in those circumstances, and so acutely aware of my own fears and lack of faith. That's just one of many observations I had from watching this.

Rich blessings to you for 2010!

LOVE the button, but had to laugh because that big picture is my "mamo" picture!! maybe that will remind me to get mine on time next year! ha!!

I love how everyone has traditional foods that they have to have on Christmas!! It's fun to see what others will fight over to eat!

I am so happy none of that snow made it over to us!!!

I have never seen that movie. I think I will have to go pick it up.

great week Edie!!!

Very clever! Looks like you never have any down time, with your three grand-daughters so close by. Precious memories in the making.

Love ya!

I noticed one of the photos, the top middle one, in your button, and exclaimed loudly! I couldn't believe it--there was our Basque girl Amaia!
It was taken at the final appreciation meal they prepared for us their host families. That's when they also gave us a thank you card telling us all that they had enjoyed living with us.
Well, the rest of the story is that she is coming back next summer! And there may be an opportunity to go over to Spain and visit her family if Mike and her father ride a cycling event together. We are very excited.

The Nativity Story is so tender and true. I cry every time. I LOVE it. And, there's more--Mary looks just like our 18 year old granddaughter!

I am so happy you are continuing with Project 365 in 2010.

Blessings!

Wow, I've missed quiet a few of your posts. I wondered if you got snow. We thought we would but where we live now we only get rain. The town we lived in before always got snow and I understand it looked like winter wonderland.

Love your pictures. You always get such neat ones.

My oldest daughter started us with reading the Christmas story out of the Bible several years ago. She is seeing a guy who came for our Christmas Eve family gathering and exchange of gifts so he got to see us in action. He seemed to enjoy it. He even came back Christmas Day after dinner.

My grandchildren got a Wii for Christmas so we bowled, yes I said we. My granddaughter taught me and I beat her the first time we played. Then later several of us played. Our niece and her family were here this year. They had not been in about 10 years so I felt like I had my complete family here.
She has always been like one of my daughters and she considers them her sisters. Why they haven't been in so long I don't know, I'm just glad they came. They all laughed at me playing the bowling game and actually doing really good at it. Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks. I'm living proof.

May God continue to bless you.
Love, AliceE.

Ms. Olivia,

We rarely get this much snow and we were sooooooo excited, too. Maybe GOD will send you a blizzard. My mom and I had been praying for one and everyone laughed at us....well until GOD gave us one!...then we laughed at them...all in love, of course. Mom said, "we have to be kind, even though GOD showed them."
I hope you enjoyed your snow bunnies as much as I enjoyed the 10 inches GOD gave me.
Keep praying...you never know what GOD will do...nothing is too little for GOD. Sometimes HE says, No, but sometimes HE gives us the desires of our heart. We just have to remember that HE knows what is best for us and accept HIS answers as HE gives them!
Keep praying and keep being all GOD created you to be!
Woofs and Wags,
Your furry friend..Sitka

Peanut Butter Fudge is most DEFINITLEY a food to spar over here too!!!

Word-Girl needs her own ad-agency indeed. lol! ...but seriously. Talent evident.

Snow. Gotta’ Love the Snow. I love the snow. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
Job 38:22

I don’t think I’ve ever watched The Nativity Story all the way through without interruption. I saw that DVD box on someone else’s Project 365 today and think I must get it . . .

Bless you, Friend, Edie!!!
We must stick to this Project 365 in 2010 – I’m just getting to know some of these wonderful ladies! You too! Have a WONDERFUL New Year!

edie,I have been thinking about the button. I love it, but am not sure I want a big picture of me on it. Can you change that out for a couple other smaller pictures? Then I would love to have the code so that we can post it next Sunday for the 2010 kick off. Thank you so much for doing this!!!

I know I've told you this, but it needs to be repeated, You are a terrific grandmother!!

Don't you love it when you find neat things the kids make!

Great button for the 365 Project!

Snow Snow Snow! It is so fun to get snow when you live in the south!!
We had SO much fun with our blizzard. Also, one of the great things about the south is that the snow is exciting and fun and then after a few days (or less) it is gone!

Happy New Year!!!!!!
