Here are some pictures of the decorating I did get done. I never made it past the living room.
My mantle. For those of you with a keen eye, I am still trying to finish painting my living room which is why the wall is one color above the mantle and another color below. Pretend you didn't notice. *wink*
Right side of the hearth.
Notice Tobi's stocking? She Loves Christmas! She knows the stocking is hers and keeps asking me if she can open her presents.

Such a beautiful collection of crosses, Edie!
We have the same poinsettias in silver this year, and we're using them outside. Nothing like Valerie Carr's poinsettias, however!! (The real thing en masse is glorious!)
And I love the fact that Tobi knows....Waiting IS hard!
You have some beautiful decorations. Thanks for sharing them.
AliceE.
I love the collection of crosses too! So beautiful! You've done a great job.
I wouldn't have noticed the paint either...and I would have just said it "looked" darker under the mantle, because of shadowing, the flash, etc. LOL!!! Okay, I wouldn't have told a lie, really. Just kidding.
I've never seen a Jesus birthday cake box. What is inside of it? I get the general idea, I have a 9 year old who might be interested in using it next year. Beautiful decorating.
I love to see the decoration idea's Especially the Jesus table.....
Next year i promise myself to start early to decorate...and will remember the Jesus table......
Beautiful, Edie! I especially love your mantle (and the color that you're painting the wall!) :-)
At my daughter's middle school Christmas party, we had a red velvet "birthday" cake for Jesus. Red cake, for His shed blood on our behalf, with white frosting, for our sins which will be as white as snow (reference Isaiah 1:18).
Hey, I have another question for you. It's about Christmas trees and Jeremiah 10. I'll send you more details via e-mail when I respond to our Santa conversation. :-)
I love your Jesus gift box. What a lovely idea.
Your home looks fabulous.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW Edie, you've done such a lovely job!! When can I come over for some hot apple cider or cocoa? :)
Everything looks so wonderful! I love your birthday cake for Jesus box what a treasured tradition. You are a blessing!
Oh Edie! Your decorations are BEAUTIFUL! I see that you collect crosses too! I love my crosses and they hang all over my house. You've done a fabulous job friend!
I love your crosses and the cake box. Wonderful idea. I would have never seen the painting in progress had you not pointed it out : ) I see Christ in your Christmas.
I love your cake box, Edie...what a wonderful tradition!
And you and I do have some of the same taste~I have one of those red mosaic candle holders in your first pic, and I SO love the Christmas crosses on your mantle!
And the wood cut out of Joseph, Mary & baby Jesus...I just bought one of those as a gift (one that almost didn't get delivered because I wanted it for my own house!) :-P
Lovely home, Edie! Thanks for sharing! Merry CHRISTmas!
I'm baaaack! I loved the Simplify Christmas sign!! Did you make it?
