Commercial - Not Much Else

I think God is giving my brain a rest. It doesn't rest very often I assure you, but I've been praying about something to post about and nothing is coming to mind.

Some of you know that I don't watch much television, but lately I've been watching FoxNews quite a bit. You know the same commercials come on again and again. I have decided that Geico gets my vote for best commercials. They are clean, simple, not pushy, non-violent, cute, and funny. It is truely refreshing. I have to say they have a very creative advertising department.

This just cracks me up. But it does remind me of all the gekkos that hang out near my back door waiting for me to let Tobi out so they can try to sneak in the house before I close the door. Some make it, and some don't. It's very sad.

I just love that little gekko.

It's OK not to post.....it's not like you're sitting around twiddling your thumbs or anything. (And if you were, you might post about that! LOL!!)

In the realm of auto insurance commercials, I wonder which companies are doing better because of them. I'm sure each can claim (uh... ha!), each can say that it is doing well in some area. I'm just wondering who is pulling in customers and who is pulling in ad awards?!

But, really, it's all about the gekko--and you have REAL ones!!

Hi Edie, I love these commercials, too! I heard that they made the gekko ones for females, the ones where they have a celebrity with a real person for senior citizens, and the ones with the ape guys for the guys! They have us all pegged, huh??

Have a great day and thanks for linking up on my meme!!

Blessings,
Becky

Did you see the commercial where the man had a little suit for the gecko? I kept hoping they would show him in it but so far they haven't.

Recently I was reading in Leviticus 11 about God giving Moses the laws for the redeemed children of Israel and what animals were considered clean and unclean. In verse 29 He's talking about the creeping things, in verse 30 it says "the gecko...., Verse 31 These are unclean to you among all that creep. Whoever touches them when they are dead shall be unclean until evening." I was amazed that this little thing we've been watching in the Gecko Commercials was listed in the Bible.
Aren't you glad we don't have to live by the laws of the Old testament, that when Jesus gave His life for us everything changed, well maybe not everything, but I hope you know what I mean.

I really had not thought that this was a real live mamal that God had created (you can tell I'm not from the country).
Have a blessed day,
AliceE.

Good one!
I haven't seen it since I am a FOX news addict who is now in recovery! That means if I'm not watching FOX, I'm not watching anything. Hardly.

Edie I love those commercials as well!

Don't force something to post about, when God needs you to be His vessel again, you will know.

I'm a fox person also and I've seen this commercial often. It's funny but the one that had me the early part of last year was the tide stain out commercial with the talking shirt that made sounds while the man was being interviewed. My husband and I would laugh until tears flowed every time we saw it.

Bless you.

I love those commercials. I am planning on doing a commercial spoof one of these days.

Hi girl! I am doing a useless and easy MEME tomorrow, so if you want to play (since you don't have blogging ideas...and I was too tired to think about the millions of ideas in my head!) than you can play too.

Just saying hi again. I'm getting ready to go to bed (yes it is 9 p.m.) Good night, my friend.

I think your posts are great no matter what they are. I don't get much posted. I would if I could figure out how to download some photos on my camera. I have some things to write about but I can't find the time.
