The Letter P

By now you have probably seen or played the fun meme that's going around the blogosphere where you are assigned a letter of the alphabet and you list your 10 favorite things that begin with that letter. Linda at Mocha with Linda had this on her blog and I decided to play along so she assigned me the letter P.

If you have not already played but would like to just let me know in the comments and I'll assign you a letter.

1. Prayer - I love that I can talk with God directly on any matter, big or small, and He is always there to listen, help, and counsel me.

2. Playful, Play, Playing - I love to play. Playing is fun and I love to have fun. I like board games and team games and fun memes like this one. I also love to joke around and laugh with People.

3. Puppy, Porcupine, Peacock, Puffer Fish, Panther, Pelican, Possum, Panda, Penguin, Polliwog, Petting Zoo - Ok you get the idea. I love all of God's creatures, even the ones that don't start with P, but today I'm focusing on the ones that do.

4. Peculiar - Distinctive in nature or character from others. I love People, Places and things that are peculiar. Christ was (and is) peculiar and Christians should consider it a compliment to be considered peculiar. I may have to do a post on this word. There is so much in it.

5. Praise - My favorite way to praise God is to dance before the Lord with all my might.

6. Plan - I'm a planner. I like to have things layed out in front of me and thought through so that I am Prepared. I feel off kilter when something interupts or changes my plans unexpectedly. Once I have a chance to think through the interuption I can adapt.

7. Payment, Pay, Paid, Paying, Provision - Who doesn't like this word? It covers all the bases. I like to receive payment for work or services so that I can pay my bills, and give to others who need provision. I am SO thankful that God promises to provide for all of my needs and that He paid the ultimate price for my salvation.
"And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his
glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19
8. Progress - I am motivated by progress. Even small amounts of progress give me incentive and creates enthusiasm and excitement within me. Anything that hinders or impedes progress is an irritant to me.

9. Purpose - We all want to have a purpose. I am thankful that God has a purpose for all of us and that He will work that purpose out in us.

10. Possibility - Being inquisitive and analytical, I love to explore the possibilities and Potential in people and situations.
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23

Bonus Word - Please - I am amazed at how many people don't say please and how many children are not taught to say please. I love good manners and have a lot of respect for people who have and teach good manners.

Thanks for sticking with me!

Edie

Your list is very positive. And I didn't realize that "positive" started with a "p" until I typed the sentence and re-read it.

Edie, I know the Lord is "P"roud of your faithfulness to Him. And I am "P"roud to be your cyber-sister! :-)

Posting! And you do it prolifically.

Love Philippians, too--three Ps and worth the punch!

We just studied Chapter 4 this very morning, so we're right there with you on that. Way to go, Paul!

Perfect....you will be, you know!

Pleased, very pleased, indeed.

I am, however, going to get a letter from ADHDMe, since I saw this there first.

Preferential treatment??? Please pardon!

It never ceases to amaze me that no matter what you are writing about..I feel like you are speaking to me. (ie. (#4 lol, #9, #10 and well... almost all of them.)

#4--Peculiar....I've been called worse (haha)

#6--2 words, well 4 including the words 2 words, and actually 2 is a number but it is a word if I write it like this.."two". Oh great now it is thirty five words. Oh Well..
....2 words-Chatty Kelly!

#8--if I can see progress I work much better and harder.

#9--Still looking.

#10-- this will help with #9.

Bonus* YES YES YES!!
Notice how seldom we hear "Yes Ma'am" and "No ma'am".

I still say ma'am and sir to many people. Not only is it good manners but it is respect.

Thanks for a great list!!

Oooooo, I can't wait to see your post on "Peculiar" because your insight in this paragraph made me Particularly Peppy!! lol

I like to plan things, too; and Payment (Provision) in this economy? PERFECT!!

Progress: I can so relate. I couldn't think of a word with P that means to relate; sorry. :-P

Playing this purposeful game IS fun! I think this has been my favorite meme. I liked doing it and I love reading everyone else's. My mama pronounces it it "peculiah". I claim it - I'm peculiah!

Hey Edie! I'm trying to leave a comment on your Project 365 post, but the whole closing section (permalink, comment link, date, etc.) are all missing!

I think that bright star would be the planet Venus! We just studied that in Astronomy a few months back. :-)

I came back today hoping I could leave a comment on your Project 365 post but still can't. I'm having the same problem Chel is. And I would really like to see the list everyone talks about in earlier comments! :-) Anyway, enjoyed your photos, and your dog -- knows she's photogenic, doesn't she? LOL
