Tuesday's Special Guest

I was surprised that some of you remembered Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella when I mentioned it in my Project 365 post, and loved it too. My friend ADHD-Jo from Monkeys are Funny, always hosts a Tuesday Special Guest on Tuesdays (imagine that). I like to play along sometimes even though she never actually said it was meme. So for those of you who loved it, and those of you who never saw it, this is my special guest today,

This film aired on tv beginning in 1965. I remember watching it, what seemed like once a year and I always loved it. The prince is played by Stuart Damon who later won an Emmy award for his part in General Hospital. Cinderella was played by Lesley Ann Warren.

I loved Leslie Ann Warren as Cinderella. When she took the role of the skeevy other woman on Will and Grace, I was so disappointed. But she played it really well, too :0). Yep, used to watch that horrible show. I admit it, and I'm sorry!

Edie,

Oh how Cinderella will remain a classic always. Who doesn't feel like Cinderella at some point in their lives? The good thing is that often times our lives reveal that perfect prince that is waiting just for us.

p.s. I can't believe that my friends believed me. I don't look anything like her.

I've been brainwashed by Disney...Cinderella should have blond hair and wear a blue gown. I must rent this movie and watch it. thanks for thinking of (& linking to) me!

Sadly, I have been having trouble loading your page and today the special quest looks like just a white, empty square at the end of your post, on my computer screen. So. No Cinderella for me today, I guess. I'll just be here in my own little corner, in my own little room where I can be whatever I want to be. Until my fairy godmother shows up with the dress.

Have a lovely, enchanted week!

I can't believe I never even heard of this edition. This is the kind of stuff I love.
I'm going to have to find a copy and watch it now. maybe CK (who is now KC, but I can't get used to that) and I will watch it together!

OK, I have to admit I had no idea Rogers and Hammerstein did Cinderella. And I am totally with CK - Disney has me thinking Cinderella was blond. It was weird for me to see her here with dark hair. LOL

I saw Cinderella merchandise in Dollar Tree yesterday. It always makes me think of my dream with God. Still looking for my slipper. B

Hey Sugar, good Disney memories. I'm really a Mickey girl (smile) but I enjoyed Cinderella growing up.

Love you and thanks for a blast from the past.
